John Willard Raught Celebrated at the Everhart Museum

The Largest Raught Collection on Display Northeast Pennsylvania native John Willard Raught was one of the region’s most important painters, showcasing the beauty of the landscapes surrounding the Wyoming Valley and surrounding areas. In celebration of Scranton’s sesquicentennial birthday celebration, the Everhart Museum will be featuring one of the largest collection of Raught’s works to date. “Some Enchanted Land: The Paintings of John Willard Raught” will be on display from April 22 through December 31, in Galleries 12 and 13 at the museum. The Century Club Bulletin – March/April 2016

April Fool's Party (Foolish Fun) will be held on Friday, April 1st, at The Century Club. The public is invited. Proceeds of the event will benefit Meals on Wheels of Northeast PA and The Scranton Area Foundation for the Century Club Building Fund. The party will begin at 11 :00 a.m. with boutique shopping and raffle baskets. A turkey dinner will be available at noon. At 12:30p.m. a joke contest will be held.
